  1. Historical Background.

Greenpeace was founded in 1971 in Vancouver by a group of ecologist and pacific people who structured Greenpeace.                     Greenpeace is an international association that is present on all the continents.                                                                                                                  It is an independent organization.                                                                        It generates non-violenceawareness form its actions around the word.                                                                                                          Greenpeace aims at denouncing the attacks on the environment and bringing solutions that contribute to the promotion of the environment and the promotion of peace.                                                 It use advertising and shock slogans or social networks to transmit its messages.

Five main causes are defended:

  • Climate and energy
  •  Nuclear power
  • Deforestation
  • GMOs

II) Their Aim.

Greenpeace protects forests and fights against climate change.                                         Greenpeace is against anything that threatens the environment and provides solutions.                                                                                                       The essential mission of Greenpeace is to act on global issues such as the climate, energy, biodiversity… which can have a direct or indirect impact on each inhabitant of the planet.

Greenpeace fights global warming.
