Caritas

Caritas has been created in 1897 in Germany and began in 1964 in Australia. There name is from Latina and that mean love and compassion. Caritas is also called The Catholic Agency for Aid and Development and Caritas wanted to be one of the largest humanitarian agencies in the world. Their goal is to help people in need everywhere in the world. We are assisting them to break free from the cycle of poverty, regardless of their ethnicity, political beliefs, gender or religion. Caritas has 12 different type of mission

-Disability

-Disaster risk destruction

-Education

-Emergencies

-Indigenous right

-Water and sanitation

-Peace building & reconciliation

-Food security and agriculture

-HIV/AIDS

-Women and development

Caritas are acting everywhere in the world and especially in poor county or country with social problems. On the map we can see they are acting in middle of Africa, south Asia and a litlle bit in Oceania.

Caritas start a new project called Project Compassion. The goal of this new project is to try to reduce inequality in the world, inequality between the different communities for example.
