When tensions between the USA and North Korea encourage a possible nuclear warfare, one can wonder: What are the several initiatives taken at global scale? The three following documents: an op-ed by Anna Weichselbraun published on July 2017, an article from Mr. Dehghan and Henley written in October 2017, all from the Guardian and a cartoon from the Sacramento Bee drawn in 2015 – bring answers by showing the different nuclear threats to the World and actions of countries and MGO to avoid a third World War.

The USA has boasted about rational and powerful military model but the episodes of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Cuba showed the contrary as Mrs Weichselbraun points out. Now, President Trump breaks this reputation by reaching a stalemate with North Korea and ignoring every expert’s advices, as Mr. Dehghan and Henley report. In fact, the danger of this conflict is amplified by using nuclear deterrent as they add. Besides, Mrs. Weichselbraun criticizes the USA to be at the same level of nuclear responsibility of North Korea. To makes matters worse, Donald Trump wants to remove Iran deal. The latter guaranty peace in the country. Actually, the cartoonist suggests that Donald Trump use nuclear bomb to be the centre of Medias and wants to eradicate the Triade. Consequently, this behaviour frightens people as Mrs. Weichselbraun assures. Thus, what is done to avoid this danger?

Given the nuclear has always existed, Nobel prizes were dedicated to anti-nuclear advocates which were defending non-nuclear power using in military fields as Mr Dehghan and Henley remind. Today, the UN system wants to introduce a nuclear weapons ban treaty in order to make them illegal, as Mrs. Weichselbraun tells. However, nine countries which possess nuclear bomb reject the proposition whereas one hundred twenty two agreed, as Mr. Dehghan and Henley underline. Indeed, several associations like ICAN, presented in their article, fight for elimination of nukes. Nevertheless, the same countries think nuclear deterrent as a mainstay of security as Mrs. Weichselbraun highlights. She also adds that those countries let nukes appears as a routine but curb their access thanks to Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty which gives a privileged place in nuclear weapons facilities for 5 countries. Thus, in order to tackle this inequality, Mr. Dehghan and Henley, put light on the Nobel price offered by the UN Security Council to open people’s eyes and in doing so protects Iran deal.

To sum up, solutions bring to tackle Donald Trump threat are curb by a powerful minority in the UN system.
