Warriors in Scotland

Introduction :

Hello today, I am going to give you a presentation with Hemran on the warriors in Scotland and why they are considered heroes today, first I will introduce you to the main battles and the great warriors of Scotland, then Hemran will explain to you why they are considered heroes.

Partie 1 :Scottish warriors

The Scots have fought for a very long time, in the year 82 A.D. the Romans wanted to conquer Scotland and impose the domination of the Roman Empire. However, they did not succeed in winning the territories of Scotland because they would have lost more than won in the end. The Scots participated in many wars, but the warriors separated into two distinct groups after the Norman conquest of David I, those from the exercitus Scoticanus (so "Gaelic army") and those from the exercitus militaris (so the "feudal army"). the feudal part is the most prestigious but the Gaelic army represents the largest part of the Scottish armed forces at the time. However, the feudal army will be exterminated at the battle of Dunbar in April 1296.On the 23rd and 24th of June 1314 the battle of Bannockburn took place, which was a crushing victory for the Scottish army when they were 4 times less numerous than the English troops.

Partie2:Important personnages

This battle was led by Robert Bruce who is the King of Scotland from 1306 to 1329. He played an important role in the Scottish resistance to England during the Scottish Wars of Independence and is still considered a national hero. He also led the Battle of Loudoun Hill which opposed English and Scots on May 10, 1307, during the first Scottish War of Independence.
