The author first tells us that Democrats trust the media more than Republicans, this information is an example to show that being interested in the media and trusting the information that is given edt based in part on our political party, in fact we also learn that if a person is conservative they will think that the media is false.

The author tells us that on the whole journalists are liberal, they therefore orientate the orientation in a liberal direction, information which is more in the direction of the Republicans. They also indicate that elite journalists will not take seriously things that the press needs, such as the fact that news must give confidence to the public.
