• CUSTOMER SERVICE: welcome and greet customers/call customers/file documents/write and answer emails/pick up the phone/attend meetings/help out my colleagues/ translate documents
• MANAGING: make decisions/help the manager
• SALES: Create and edit invoices/sell products/write reports/ 
• IN A COMPANY (IMPORT DEPARTMENT) :

Assist with the process of importation according to the appropriate incoterm (transport and customs clearance)

Follow the entire administrative chain from the customer inquiry to the supplier till the full payment.

Assist with the research and selection of suppliers

• IN A COMPANY (EXPORT DEPARTMENT) :

Assist with the order preparation, draw up documents for the administrative export chain

Contact service providers ( inquiry for pricing to forwarding agent, directions for picking up goods)

Follow and insure   the collection of unpaid debt, analyse the techniques of payment (documentary credit, swift, down payment, upfront payment …), put together necessary and relevant insurances

• EXAMPLES OF TASKS WORKING WITH A FORWARDING AGENT ( FREIGHT FORWARDER ) :

            Putting together the logistics service asked by the customer : linking with the carriers, pricing, drafting documentation such as bill of lading ( lettre de connaissement), commercial invoice, shipper’s export declaration, certificate of insurance, consignement note ( CMR /lettre de voiture …)

Assist with customs clearance for importation and /or exportation and drafting customs documentation.
