To answer the questions, we will study the company in which I have been working for the past year and a half:

Natixis Investment Managers International, known as Natixis Investment Managers or simply Natixis IM, (or even NIM), is a company that specializes in asset management worldwide, based in France (headquarters in Paris) and the United States (headquarters in Boston).

Natixis IM manages just over $1 trillion in assets as of December 31, 2019 for clients that are; institutional investors, corporations, private banks, distributors (multi-managers and financial advisors) and banking networks.

Natixis IM is the eleventh largest player worldwide and the second largest French manager by assets under management, behind Amundi. The company is part of the French financial group Natixis, itself a subsidiary of the group Banque Populaire & Caisse d'Épargne (BPCE).

Let's see, below, the organization chart of the BPCE group:

Natixis IM is a unique distribution platform for investment funds, commonly known as products, based on a multi-affiliate model.

This unique distribution model operates through a system of subsidiaries; 20 investments management companies around the world, all at least 50% owned by Natixis IM, complement each other, each with its own expertise and investment universe. Natixis IM leverages the power of an independent and personalized approach to investing. Each of its 20 affiliated asset management companies focuses on the investment styles and disciplines in which it has proven expertise, without ever competing with each other.

The result is a selection of more than 200 investment strategies from some of the most prestigious names in the asset management world.

“A true multi-boutique model distributed by Natixis IM”
